Project Info
Gidlow Stone are stonemasons and suppliers of high quality memorial stones. They required an easy to use website to showcase their range of memorials and their work.
Role in Project
I designed and developed a brochure website built on a custom Wordpress CMS with a focus on ease of use for the end user and simple to update for the company.

Pet Express Competition « launch site
Project Info
Pet Express are a pet product e-commerce company. To further engage with their customers, they required a competition page and gallery for customers to upload an image of their pet into a monthly prize draw.
Role in Project
I designed and developed a competition page with a month by month gallery that was easy for customers to enter.

Harvey Nichols
Project Info
Harvey Nichols were revamping their e-commerce site and required a new look with a focus on usability. 2 different home page designs and a product page design, along with top level information architecture maps were pitched.
Role in Project
I designed 2 different home pages and product page, and provided a well thought out information architecture document.

Rawfusion
Project Info
Rawfusion Ltd are a fashion accessories company who hold the licenses for brands such as Playboy, Pacha, Chupa Chups and Chilli Pepper. After being rebranded, they needed a new company website which was easily updatable that matched the new look of the company.
Role in Project
I designed the site, coded the front end and used a custom install of wordpress to handle the news section and act as a site wide CMS.

Project Info
Listen04 is an artist and graphic designer and needed a fresh look to his existing website and a place to blog and sell his artwork.
Role in Project
I designed and coded the front end of the site, Bionara Design created the back end and blog/shop functionality.

Pursonality
Project Info
Pursonality is a new brand of purses, centering around the customers’ individual personalities. They required a creative images of the purses based on their pursonalities and a website.
Role in Project
I was in charge of delivering the photography shots, and designed a website to showcase the ranges. The website is currently not live.

Project Info
I required a new portfolio website that was quick and easy to update, so designed this black book themed wordpress driven site.

I designed the site, coded the front end and used a custom Wordpress theme to act as a site wide CMS.

Chupa Chups/Play.com
Project Info
Play.com ran a competition to win an exclusive, limited edition Chupa Chups scooter. This is the design they went with.

Scooter graphics and photography, competition photography layout.

SeasonB4
Project Info
SeasonB4 is an online fashion accessories shop, with big discounts. The site needed to be navigated through the use of product filters, tunneling down the customer to products by funneling out prices, brands and categories.
Role in Project
I designed the logo and the website design, and also created an HTML email template for the newsletters. I was involved in regular marketing graphics and newsletters, site updates, print adverts and designed a 32 page direct mail brochure.

about me
I am a 24 year old web & graphic designer based on the North Yorkshire coast.
Just before graduating with an HND in Applied Digital Media, I sought employment and found it working as a Graphic Designer for Rawhide Accessories Ltd, a licensed fashion accessories company. Here I created prints for products, point of sale, packaging, fashion brochures, etc. After a year within the role, another graphic designer within the company asked me to re-skin one of the brands Myspace pages. Noticing that I had a knack for web design, the I.T. director then created a role for an in-house web designer which I filled. I immediately set about creating an online presence for the company, designing and building their first website.
In the summer of 2008, the need for the fashion photography to be brought in-house was raised, and I took on the task, splitting my time between designing for the web, print and doing studio photography for the company’s fashion products.
In such a varied role, I have worked with many of the different teams within the business, which has further solidified my project management and teamworking skills.
My current skillset (that I add to with self initiated learning whenever I get the chance) includes:
- Handcoded valid XHTML and CSS conforming to accessibility standards and usability
- Graphic Design for both Print and Web
- Creating custom Wordpress driven sites
- Flash timeline animation and some Actionscript 2.0
- Adobe After Effects timeline animation
- Apple Final Cut timeline animation
- Studio based photography
I enjoy writing and recording music and I also play guitar, although currently I don’t have a band. Aside from these 2 main hobbies, I enjoy landscape and nature photography, travelling, movies and going to gigs.
